Fun Factory is a selection of fun and games software for young children learning about the PC computer.
The games start at the simplest level of matching sounds to pictures and go on to test spelling and arthimetic skills.
Each game is in the form of a jigsaw puzzle.
Each right answer reveals more of the main picture, but get it wroung and you are back to the start!
The software is written in such a way as to make it difficult for a young child to cause any damage or loss of information
while playing on the PC. A password feature is key to stopping the child closing Fun Factory and browsing the computer.
Certain features require the software to be registered for the minimal charge of $4.89
Once you have installed the software you are ready to play. The game always starts as a full screen, this is to deter inadvertent venture into other computer files and programs. Each game is in the form of a jigsaw puzzle. Each right answer reveals more of the main picture, but get it wroung and you are back to the start!
The software is very simple to use. The different games are selected and started from the top left hand menu "Play". The center "Settings" menu allows some user perferences for the different games. There are generic settings such as the grid size for every game and then game specific settings.
The speech system is helpful for the spelling and initial letters games.Windows XP Only
You need the following Speech component. It is important to download and install this part first.

You will need the Microsoft character agent system and a character. The following file download includes the character agent system and the character Merlin the Wizzard.

If you wish to remove the software from your computer.
Click on the windows "Start" button, "Settings=>Control Panel".
Double click on the "Add/Remove Programs" icon.
Select "Thermometer Plus" and Click on the Add/Remove Button.
If you have created any Thermometer Plus short cuts manually you will need to remove them.
Open your windows explorer and manually delete any files in the Thermometer Plus folder that were left over buy the windows program remover. Then delete the Thermometer Plus Folder if still there. Always follow the procedure above in the correct order to properly remove all aspects of the software.
